Financial aid is available for qualified applicants. Dawn Training Centre participates in the following:
- Title IV Student Financial Aid Programs
- Pell Grant
- Subsidized Stafford and Unsubsidized Stafford Loans
- PLUS Loan Programs
- Veterans Administration Benefits
- State programs like:
- Division of Employment and Training
- Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
- Sallie Mae
- Educational Financial Services (EFS)
- Private scholarships such as:
- The City of Wilmington Academic Scholorship
- Daimler Chrysler Scholarship
Determining Eligibility
To determine eligibility for financial aid, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Submit this application to the financial aid representative. The financial aid representative determines the types and amount of financial aid available to each student. Financial aid funds are contingent upon the student’s ability to meet the school’s academic standards.
Important Information for Students Receiving Veteran's Administration Benefits
Any student who receives VA benefits must enroll in courses approved for training of veterans. These students must comply with current VA regulations and school policies. VA students who transfer to Dawn must have a new enrollment form completed and submitted to the VA with credit established according to VA policy. The VA will then approve the course and issue an award letter acknowledging the student’s enrollment in the approved course. A VA student’s attendance must comply with VA policy requirements.
